A bit of a mix really.

Hello one and all! So, it's been a while. I know. Sorry about that. I'm trying to balance so many things at the moment and it's not easy. But I'm managing. I'm still here, and I'm still working my flipping backside off in all aspects of life.  Firstly, some things you may not know: The University Diary is once again up and running. Follow it here - http://bit.ly/1cpwT1M   I have three weeks left at university before Christmas - Expect me to go blogging crazy once I'm done.   I'm on Tumblr. God knows I'm not very good at using it, but if you do, and you want to follow me, you can do so here - http://bit.ly/15qcZda   I'm going to two gigs in 2014 (so far). Those being Frank Turner in February, and Alkaline Trio in April. Posts to follow.   There are probably more, and if there are, they've escaped me completely.   I actually had a beard for the past three weeks.  Anyway! Welcome back to my blog. Let us get back into the swing of things. I do...

Three weeks in, and all is well.

Hello there! Firstly, I just want to say that that the video diary will come, I promise. I just want to make sure that I'm actually producing something worth watching. I highly doubt I'm going to be sticking to any sort of regular upload schedule, so it's a little pointless me telling you when to expect it. It could be in a couple of days, or even weeks. I don't know, we'll see. In the meantime, head over to my channel here -  Click me! - and subscribe if you like. You'll see any content I upload there before you will anywhere else. Now that that's out of the way, let's get into it shall we? I imagine this post will be a little similar to the last one, but I'll try and avoid it. I just want to talk about a couple of things that have happened, and what's going to be happening over the next few weeks. Yesterday - It got worse, the cathedral literally vanished. I'll tell you now that my course involves so much group work. And of course, there...

One week later!

Right then. It's been a few hours past the seven day mark and I'm still alive, so I must be doing something right. Please excuse the rubbish photos. It's been a really odd week, I'll be totally honest. It doesn't feel as though I've moved out. It feels more like a holiday and I've just brought all my things with me. I don't exactly feel homesick, and I haven't cried. (Although mum did, and on Friday my tutor asked me if she was okay now, bless him!) The moving in process was relatively easy actually, I was expecting absolute chaos, but it can't have taken any more than three hours from leaving home to emptying both cars into my room. Which, by the way is actually quite nice. Most of my things got unpacked on Sunday evening, and then the rest I did through Monday and Tuesday and now I'm all set up in my home for the remaining 39 weeks that I'm allowed to stay here. Before I forget to mention, I will say that my flat mates are pretty cool. ...

Today is the day.

Hello everyone! It's likely that by the time most of you read this, I'll either be on the way to my new home, or will have moved in already. And that, above everything is pretty exciting. With terrifying and nerve racking coming in a close second and third. I have lived in the same home for my entire life, much like most, if not all of my friends, I honestly don't know. It's not exactly a hot topic when engaging in conversation. However, today is the day that all of that changes. Me, and about 900 other people are leaving our current homes, to go live all on the same street. Which is kind of weird if you think about it, but at the same time, it's really cool. No doubt by the time this post is published I'll have cried at least once and my mum several times, I can guarantee you that much. It's strange. Just sitting here now, realising that today will be the day that I move away from everything and almost everyone that I've ever known is really an usual co...

I'm not dead!

Hello everybody! Fear not, I'm still here. I've just been lurking for a week or so now, that's all. It's not like there is any specific reason I've not posted for a while. Between packing and preparing for university and keeping relaxed I've really not had much to talk about. I move on Sunday. Which, is both scary and exciting. Whilst I don't feel particularly scared or nervous or worried, I know for a fact that I am. No doubt it will all come bubbling up on Sunday morning, which, if it does I hope I'm prepared for it. I'll have the whole day to recover however, since I can't actually move into my 'apartment' *cough*flat*cough* until 3 o'clock. And even then it's likely it'll be after that since the whole moving in process seems rather complicated. I'm not even kidding. We have to drive to 'car park A', and wait there until someone tells us we can drive to the university, then to my flat, and then we have to be go...

Life update.

Image
So it's been a while. I'm sorry! I thought, what with just two weeks until I move out, that a short update on my life would be a fitting post for now. What's new then? Well. I have glasses now. This has been a long time coming. And for the past year or so, I've sat back as my eyesight slowly deteriorated. Conveniently, I have been due an eye test. So I went. And it's been confirmed I'm short sighted. So attached below you'll find a horrendous picture of my in my glasses. Mock away. To be quite honest. I've been wearing them that much now that I'm used to them and sometimes feel weird when I don't have them on. I'm convinced I have a wonky face. What else. Hmm. Ooh! I finally got my bank account sorted. I'm now with Santander. Which is pretty cool. I get a free railcard too, which is great. Just waiting for that to arrive now. I'm pretty much all packed and ready to move out now. WHICH IS IN TWO WEEKS BY THE WAY. I'm pretty flippin...

Something rather serious. But not really.

There has been a hoax. A hoax which has been floating around the Internet for over a year now and quite frankly, I've had enough. Check me, getting all serious and stuff. For anybody who knows me, I'm quite the fan of the Back to the Future trilogy. And it really does annoy me when I browse Facebook, or any other social networking sites to see people sharing the following image. Or some variant of. No. Wrong. I'm sure we've all seen this. People going "OMG. Today is actually the day Marty and Doc travelled forward in time". Just trying to look cool as if they're some huge fan of the films. Pfft. The actual date, in case you're wondering is the 21st of October, 2015. As demonstrated by this lovely image I found on Google earlier. Yes. Correct. It genuinely astounds me that people assume it's the correct date. And it's crazy how many people actually do. So, I think we should all work together to make it very clear what the actual date is, and shu...
