Some thoughts and stuff.

Hello all!

So, me and thousands of other people roughly my age are just a few days away from what can only be described as D-Day for us A level students. That day of course being results day. Many of us are panicking, many of us are worried, and then there's little (but not so little) old me just sitting here not feeling panicked or worried at all. I don't get why. I should be. It's not as if these results doesn't matter, because they do. They really do. And, to be quite honest, it's possibly the most terrifying day of my life so far. It will pretty much decide what the next step in my life is, all before I've even got out of bed.

I want to go to university. I will go. Even if I miss the grades they're asking. Lincoln, be prepared. I'll be there in September one way or another. I need a B and two C grades to assure I can get in. I do have a little leeway in the fact I've got two half A levels to back me up if it all goes horribly wrong. Which, to be fair, I don't think it will. I feel fairly confident that I've done enough, if not more than enough to get those grades. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

But! I have got my student finance sorted now, so that's one less thing to worry about. And I've collected a couple of things to take to university with me, I'm just waiting on results and accommodation now so I can really crack on and get myself prepared, because as it stands, I don't know if I can get in, or where the hell I'm going to be living if I do.

So that's that. Thursday will come and go, a lot of people will be happy, some perhaps not. But look everyone, it will be fine! I can assure you. There are ways and means of getting everything sorted for yourself. Just remain calm, do whatever you need to do, and it will be fine.

Good luck to all those in the same position as me, I really hope everything goes your way!

So that's the thoughts. Here's the stuff.

My blog has received an update, in case you can't tell. It's fairly obvious. I bet you can't guess what it is!

Oh, alright. It's colourful now, and the pictures look like Polaroids, and some of those fancy gadget things have been renamed, and shifted around so that it all makes sense, and you had all better bloody appreciate it, it took me flipping ages!

This Wednesday I'm playing a gig at The Maze in Nottingham if you're interested. It's £3 entry, and there are other bands on too, so it should be a fun night. It would be great to have some support there, form anyone and everyone. But, don't worry if you can't make it, I'll report back on the evening as and when I get around to it, so look out for that.

Ooh! That reminds me. Providing all goes well on Thursday, I'll have a little surprise for you next Sunday. Something I'm really quite excited about actually, so look out for that too!

I went to IKEA this week. It was incredible. I love IKEA. It's just so clever, and all the things they make are really cool, and the people who design the products just seem to have thought of a solution for everything, and there is so much cool and quirky stuff, and I should be going again soon and I can't wait. And just so you know, I have been before. I'm not getting all excited about it being something new, it's just different and better each time I go. I want an IKEA house. It'd be brilliant.

I finally got my Back to the Future poster framed, hooray! I just hope I'll be allowed to hang it once I get to Lincoln, otherwise it'll just have to lean against a wall or wardrobe or something, which would of course suck.

*Drools*

Finally, there's this band. They're called Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. I've been listening to them for well over a year now, I would encourage you all to listen to them too. It's the kind of music that will instantly cheer you up. You may recognise them from the Peugeot/Citroen adverts (I don't know which, something French), or from the film 'Jesus Henry Christ', which I would also recommend you watch, actually, because it's a pretty good film.

That's it from me for now! Sorry it's been a while. I wanted to actually gather all these thoughts together to produce something more substantial to read, rather than stuff I could have just tweeted instead.

Thank you for reading,

- Anthony.
