A little about me.

Firstly, welcome to my blog. And, yes. You can pretty much assume this will be the usual, quite typical first post of any new blogger.

It seems as though everybody has a blog these days, and whilst it's fair to say that's an exaggeration, it does seem as though most people I actually know have one. So, it feels as though it's time for me to get started. It's something I've wanted to do for a while now, and I'm talking years, so god only knows why it's taken me this long to get going. I guess it must be all this free time I now suddenly have, time that I'm still not used to. Who knows!

With a bit of luck, this should be fun, and exciting, and interesting, and expressive and everything else blogging is all about. We'll have to see, but I'm looking forward to keeping this going.

So you may or may not want to know a bit about me. To be quite honest, there isn't a great deal to know, but here goes:

My name is Anthony Belcher. I'm pretty tall. Or at least everyone seems to think so. I'm from a small town in the middle of nowhere called New Ollerton where I currently live with my mum, brother and sister. I'm eighteen years old, soon to be nineteen. And, all things permitted, I'm currently about to take what will quite possibly be the biggest step of my life so far and move to Lincoln to go to university (more about that at a later date.)

I've got great family, great friends and the most incredible girlfriend who means more to me than I think you could possibly imagine.

I play the bass guitar and have done so for over five years now, as well as a little bit of piano, a little bit of guitar, double bass, drums, and a few notes on the clarinet courtesy of my sister, haha. For the past two years I've played the bass in the school's various bands, which now that I'm finished with I miss so very much. But! Lincoln has an orchestra society, so hopefully I'll still be able to get my big band fix. I've also been informed of a cheese and wine society, so hey. Can't complain.

MOVING ON.

I also play in a small band with my friend Jack and his older brother Lee, and we've got our first gig in a couple of weeks, so I'm looking forward to that. My music interest varies. A lot. I'm not even kidding. For example, my iTunes ranges from bands like ABBA and Spandau Ballet, to bands such as Slayer and Iron Maiden and pretty much anything and everything in between to be honest. But, if it's from the 80s you can pretty much guarantee I'll like it.

I swear I don't belong in this decade.

My favourite film of all time has to be Back to the Future. Followed by the two sequels. But I love films. The cinema is bloody expensive though, and I rarely sit down and watch a DVD.

Ah, now I'm running out of things to say!

Hmm. Ooh! I like purple. And I like to wear different coloured trousers, and I've only ever worn a suit once in my life. (For a concert we did at school, funny that.)

You know what, I'll shush for now. So I shall thank you for reading. Good bye for now!

- Anthony.
