Alright? Good to hear. It's been a week, and I'm back look, writing again, for you. Aren't I good? I hope you enjoyed last weeks post, because we're going to carry on this week. Please do bear with me, I'm slowly trying to break myself into the habit of updating this website on a more regular basis. I figure if I can get something up once a week I can slowly start doubling that. And so on. But anyway, let's get to it. So last week I wrote a little about my experiences getting settled into university life. I've had a good think about what I'll talk about this week, and there are so many different aspects I want to cover, it's really hard to do one without talking about another. Maybe the last you heard of me was that my blog turned one, exciting right? Well that was back in July. It's now September, and it's high time we got back into the habit of writing and updating this blog, don't you think? I'm all set in my little corner, see. I feel like nearly every single one of these entries starts off with an apology, so you're not getting one this time. So there. The simple fact is, my summer has been filled with so many wonderful moments and trips and this great holiday to the South of France... Or maybe that was a dream I had. Hello there to anybody who may be lurking around these parts! Yes, that's right. As the title says, my blog is now 1 year old. On the 12th of July, in fact. So yes it's a few days late, and yes it's been a while since I've even typed Blogger into my address bar. My apologies. Happy Birthday to AnthonyTalks.co.uk There's not a great deal to say, except a massive thank you to everybody who has read, commented, shared and been involved with this site in any way whatsoever. I honestly don't even know what made me decide to start a blog in the first place, but I'm glad I did. 'Sup? Hello to you all, and welcome back to my blog. I bet you'd forgotten about me, hadn't you? Well, I'm still here but I've been so incredibly busy that finding time, or quite frankly the motivation to write something has been somewhat difficult. So enough excuses, here I am. Just over one week away from finishing for Easter, and oh my goodness I really cannot wait. It feels like this term at uni has been such a long one, and whilst this is week only week 10, I'm ready for a break. The same thing happened last term, in the week or two approaching Christmas my brain slowly started to just give up ever so slightly, leaving my wondering if I'm actually cut out for university life. I am, don't worry. Each time I finish a piece of work it's like a small glimmer of hope that the end is near, and I can't wait. I really can't. It'll be kind of sad once the year is over, because by the end of May my first year will be well and truly over. I hav...

Hello one and all! So if you don't know by now that I like vinyl records, then I probably haven't told you. Sorry about that. But yes, I do indeed appreciate a good vinyl. There's something about it that is just so different to any other form of physical audio, like a CD, or cassette, *chuckles*. I don't think I can quite put my finger on it, but the sound you get from that tiny stylus running itself through the grooves is actually quite magical, and to my ears there's nothing quite like it. I've been wanting a record player for some time now, and when I went out to search for one last week, I ended up buying a full Hi-Fi system. Vinyl, radio, cassette and CD all in one, wow! Of course the tape section will likely never be used, and the radio doesn't particularly interest me, since I can only find a couple of stations. Welcome back! Or if you're new, welcome to my blog! If you're not familiar with me, there's a post you can read here - Clicky - and you'll find out a little about me. However, today I want to talk about composition, and how it's not actually haunting me, rather me chasing it. That's musical composition, and if you've never encountered that word before, it's the process of writing music. Simple to understand really, but not necessarily to do. Unfortunately for me, composition doesn't come as naturally to me as it does to some people. I can't just knock out work after work with them all sounding good. My brain doesn't really work like that. I really like writing music. Whether it's for some sort of assessment, or for fun, or for the band I play in ( cheeky plug ). Well hello there! So, the title is perhaps a bit obvious and pointless, but yes. It is officially 2014. And has been for 22 whole days now. So what's the point in this post? I'm not actually sure to be honest, but it's high time to break myself back into writing, and hopefully have a very good year on this blog. It seemed to gain a relatively small, but rather pleasing amount of popularity towards the end of 2013, so with a bit of luck it'll take off this year. This is really just turning into an update, as my posts usually do, but 2014 is sure to be an exciting year for me, and those surrounding me. There are a few opportunities coming up that I'm absolutely up for grabbing a hold of, and making the most of. But, more on those later once they actually begin to materialise.
